WATER-OIL-SWELLABLE ELASTOMER COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC E21B33/12 C08L23/16

Abstract RU 2744341 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water and oil swelling elastomer materials and can be used in manufacture of rubber swellable sealing elements of packer equipment used in oil and gas industry. Water-swellable elastomer composition based on ethylene-propylene rubber, comprising a sulfur curing agent, altaks and captax curing accelerators, activating system of zinc oxide and stearine, dispersant glycerine, colloidal silica and technical carbon, water-swelling reagents - sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and copolymer of acrylamide with potassium acrylate, with the following ratio of components, pts.wt: ethylene-propylene rubber SKEPT-50 - 100.0; colloidal silicic acid BS-120 - 10.0; technical carbon TU P234 - 30.0; zinc oxide - 5.0; stearin - 1.0; glycerine - 2.0; sulfur - 2.0; altax - 1.0; captax - 1.0; sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose - 80.0-100.0; copolymer of acrylamide with potassium acrylate - 80.0-100.0.

EFFECT: technical result is increased degree of swelling of elastomer material in fresh water and in 10% aqueous sodium chloride solution while maintaining high oil-swelling capacity, as well as additional capacity to increase in volume in contact with 22% aqueous solution of sodium chloride and drilling system Polyeconol-Flora.
