SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water- and oil-swellable elastomeric materials and can be used in production of rubber swelling sealing elements of packer equipment for high-temperature wells. Water-swellable elastomer composition contains ethylene-propylene rubber, zinc oxide, stearic acid, technical carbon filler, water-swelling additives and vulcanising agent. According to the invention, the composition as filler additionally contains colloidal silicic acid, as a dispersing agent additionally contains glycerine, as a water-swellable polymer, the composition contains sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose and a copolymer of acrylamide with potassium acrylate, and as a vulcanising agent -di- (tert-butylperoxyisopropyl) benzene with 40 wt% content on the support, with the following ratio of components, pts.wt: Ethylene-propylene rubber SKEPT-50 - 100.0; Colloidal silicic acid BS-120 - 10.0; Technical carbon P-234 - 30.0; Zinc oxide - 5.0; Stearin - 1.0; Glycerol - 2.0; Di- (tert-butylperoxyisopropyl) benzene with 40 wt% content on carrier - 7.0; Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose -100.0; Copolymer of acrylamide with potassium acrylate - 100.0.

EFFECT: increased degree of swelling of elastomer material in water at high temperature, as well as increase of its initial hardness for improvement of ability of assembled and vulcanised packer turning.
