SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to urology, and can be used for treating and preventing benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Composition comprising an isolated peptide with SEQ ID NO:1, and use thereof for treating and preventing BPH are proposed.
EFFECT: use of inventions enables to treat BPH by reducing expression of 5α-reductase, prostate cell proliferation inhibition, reduction of seminal vesicles and prostate mass.
