FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing amorphous mesoporous alumina, characterised by connectivity (Z) above 2.7. Method of producing alumina comprises first performing at least one first step for precipitating alumina (a) at temperature from 20 to 40 °C for a period of time from 2 to 30 minutes. Method then includes a step of heating the obtained suspension at temperature from 20 to 90 °C for a period of time from 7 to 45 minutes. Thereafter, suspension second stage (a') at temperature from 40 to 90 °C for a period of time from 2 to 50 minutes. Method then includes a second step of heating the suspension at temperature from 50 to 95 °C. Method then includes a step for heat treatment of the suspension (b) at temperature of 50 to 200 °C for a period of time from 30 minutes to 5 hours. Filtration of the suspension (c) is then carried out, accompanied by at least one step for washing the obtained gel. Further, alumina gel (d) is dried to obtain a powder. Further, a step is carried out for moulding said powder (e) to obtain untreated material. Method then includes heat treatment of untreated material (f) at temperature of 500 to 1000 °C in the presence or absence of an air stream, containing up to 60 vol. % water.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain amorphous mesoporous alumina with high connectivity.
