FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of aluminium oxide beads which can be used as a catalyst support. Method describes production of aluminium oxide in the form of balls having sulphur content from 0.001 to 1 wt. % and content of sodium from 0.001 to 1 wt. % of the total weight of said balls. Balls are obtained by molding, by dropleting method of drops of alumo-gel having high dispersibility. In turn, the alumina gel is obtained using a method using special precipitation, which enables to obtain at least 40 wt. % aluminium oxide from the total amount of aluminium oxide obtained at the output of the gel preparation method, already at the first deposition stage, wherein the amount of aluminium oxide formed at the outlet from the first deposition step can reach 100 %.

EFFECT: obtaining balls of aluminium oxide with higher BET specific surface area.
