SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Method of producing aluminium oxide gel involves a first step of depositing aluminium oxide, involving deposition of at least one basic precursor and at least one acidic precursor in an aqueous reaction medium. At least one of precursors - basic or acid - contains aluminium. Relative flow of acidic and basic precursors is selected so that pH of reaction medium is from 8.5 to 10.5. First stage of sedimentation is carried out at 10–50°C for 2–30 minutes. Then, suspension second stage is carried out by adding at least one basic precursor and at least one acidic precursor. Second deposition step is carried out at 40–90 °C for 2–50 minutes. Suspension is heated between the first and second deposition steps and after the second precipitation step. Further, the obtained suspension is thermally treated at 50–200 °C for a period of time of 30 minutes to 5 hours. Filtration step is then carried out with at least one washing step of the obtained gel.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain aluminium oxide gel, characterized by improved filterability.
