FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, namely to dentistry, and can be used for the manufacture of removable splints used for treatment. Method of manufacturing a splint for the lower jaw includes computer simulation, during which a three-dimensional digital image of the patient's upper and lower jaws is obtained at the position corresponding to the required occlusal ratio, on the basis of which a digital model of a splint for the lower jaw is modeled, axes of placement of splint on the patient's teeth, which determine the route of insertion of splint on the patient's teeth and the path of removal from the teeth, are determined, splint is made according to the finished digital model, while the inner surface of the digital splint model, adjacent to the surface of the teeth and to the soft tissues of the mandible, is simulated congruent with respect to the specified surfaces, the digital model of the lower jaw is divided by the median sagittal plane into the right and left parts, then in the right and left parts of the obtained digital model of the lower jaw, many straight lines are drawn, parallel to the frontal plane, tangent to the most prominent lingual surface of each tooth and crossing the gum line, then, in the right and left parts of the digital model of the lower jaw, from the obtained set of tangents, a single straight line with the greatest angle of inclination to the median sagittal plane is chosen, which is taken respectively for the right and left axes of placement of the splint on the teeth of the lower jaw, then, in the right and left parts of the digital model of the lower jaw, boundary lines are depicted on the surfaces of the teeth relative to the right and left axes of placement of the splint, respectively, after which the inner surface of the right and left parts of the splint is delimited by cylindrical surfaces in which the generator is parallel to the right and left placement axes, respectively, and the guideline coincides with the corresponding boundary line, then the inner surface of the splint, adjacent to the surface of the teeth and the soft tissues of the lower jaw, is simulated equidistant relative to the indicated surfaces and a finished digital model of splint is obtained, on the basis of which a splint for the lower jaw is manufactured in the form of the right and left parts, which are compressed towards each other without permanent deformation.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of manufacturing splint by reducing the influence of the subjective factor and to increase the physiology by eliminating injury to the mucosa.
