Determine maximum possible in micro-range of slip braking force and actual average braking force of braking system (56, 60) in actual range of slip. transition from macro range to micro range of slip is triggered if comparison of a certain average braking force in macro range of slip with maximum possible braking force in micro range of slipping revealed an insufficient effect of slip. In an alternative embodiment, transition from micro-range to macro-range of slip is initiated if a comparison of a certain average braking force in macro-range of slip with maximum braking force in micro-range of slipping revealed a sufficient slip effect.
