FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removal of toxic compounds of flue gases of thermal devices operating on sulfur fuels, by solid adsorbents, for example, slurry wastes from alumina production and can be used in power, metallurgical and other industries. Described is a method of cleaning flue gases of thermal installations from toxic compounds by reacting nepheline slurry of alumina production with flue gases, characterized by using nepheline sludge with particle size of 0.05–0.2 mm, sludge is fed into hot flue gas flow and discharged from flue gas flow together with ash, wherein slurry supply is maintained equal to 1.4–2.7 wt% of fuel consumption.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the fact that the method increases efficiency of cleaning of flue gases of thermal devices.
