FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. Three-port 25G subtotal vitrectomy is performed in a high degree of myopia for surgical treatment of a full macular hole of large diameter. Using tweezers, a posterior hyaloid membrane (PHM) and an internal boundary membrane (IBM) are separated by a single block around the macular hole, thus forming a complex of PHM + IBM, which is moved inside the rupture by plugging it. Operation is completed by introducing sterile air into the vitreal cavity.
EFFECT: method provides closing a full macular hole of large diameter in high degree myopia, improved visual functions, reduced traumatism of the surgical intervention, reduced discomfort of the patient related to compliance with the forced position for three days in the postoperative period.
