SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring quality of a compound in articles of the tobacco industry. Method of measuring quality of a compound in a rod-like article of the tobacco industry comprising rod (1A, 1B) with filler (2, 3, 5, 6) and wrapper (4A, 4B), according to which test rod (1A, 1B) used in tobacco industry article is fixed in measuring device in seat (11) for fixation of rod (1A, 1B) in rotary measuring table (10), then rotary measuring table (10) is brought into rotary motion, wherein by measuring unit movement of filler (3, 6) of test rod from wrapper (4A, 4B) is measured, and quality of connection between wrapper (4A, 4B) and filler (3, 6) of rod (1A, 1B) is determined based on degree of movement of filler (3, 6) of rod (1A, 1B) and centrifugal force.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the development of a method and a device, which enable to check quality of connection of products of tobacco industry, in particular multi-segment rods, without application of stresses to tested products and without their deformation.
