SUBSTANCE: disclosed is brush head (100) comprising elastomeric matrix (30) comprising first surface (32), a plurality of retainer rings (50) disposed in an elastomer matrix, each having first end (51), second end (53) located closer to first surface of elastomer matrix than first end, inner wall (55) forming inner space (59) with central longitudinal axis (111), and outer wall (57). At least one of inner wall and outer wall of at least first retaining ring (50) of multiple retaining rings comprises narrowing (61, 67, 73, 63, 69, 71). Plurality of bristle bristles (21), each of which comprises multiple bristle threads having proximal end (23) and free end (25), is retained along its proximal end in inner space of one of multiple retaining rings.
