DEVICE FOR EXTENDING SURGICAL WOUND Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/02

Abstract RU 2684711 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, medical equipment, particularly to neurosurgery and can be used for enlarging the surgical wound, displacement and fixation of the musculocutaneous-aponeurotic flap in surgical operations on the brain. Device for widening an operating wound in surgical operations on the brain comprises a vertical post, a support, a horizontal guide, a mounting element, hooks, tensioners, fixing hooks, additional locating element and additional hooks. Hooks are fixed on the mounting element, additional hooks are fixed on the additional mounting element. Vertical post is made in the form of tube of round section, one end of which is installed on edge of operating table with possibility of movement along its long side and fixation in fixed position. Support is made in the form of a round cross-section bar, by its one end is installed inside vertical post with the possibility of back-and-forth movement, 360° rotation around its axis and fixed in fixed position. Horizontal guide is made in the form of tube of round section, is rigidly connected to other end of support, forming with it letter T. Mounting element is made of rod of round section in form of letter Y, with large arm of mounting element is installed inside horizontal guide with possibility of reciprocating cross- translational movement, 360° turn around its axis and fixed in fixed position. Small arms of locating element have different length and are installed between themselves at angle of 120°. Hooks fixed on the mounting element are arranged along its every small arm through equal distances in one row and fixed. Additional mounting element is made of tube of round section in form of letter L, wherein short arm of additional mounting element is installed on having long-length small arm mounting element with possibility of rotation on 360° around its axis and fixed in fixed position. Additional hooks are rigidly fixed on the long arm surface of the additional mounting element through equal distances in one row. Fixing hooks are S-shaped each. Said tensioners represent elastic material pieces. At one end of each tensioner there is one fixing hook. Second end of only one tensioner is attached to each hook of the mounting element and to each additional hook of the additional mounting element.

EFFECT: design of the proposed device is simple, its cost is low, its use allows to significantly improve the quality of operations on the brain by creating adequate expansion of the surgical wound, musculocutaneous-aponeurotic flap and no access limitations for the hands of the surgeon to the surgical wound.
