FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for hybrid laser-arc welding of steel pipes with an external clad layer and can be used in production of large-diameter welded steel pipes with wall thickness of up to 25 mm. Pipes are assembled with clearance from 0 to 1 mm. Y-shaped grooving of edges is performed, at which value of bevel of edge is selected more than thickness of clad layer from 0 to 3 mm. Electric arc is exposed to consumable electrode, then it is exposed to laser beam with power sufficient for through metal penetration, performing working seam forming back roll from inside tube billet. Then, an additional electric arc is applied, spaced from the laser beam at distance of 6–15 mm, with alloyed wire to form an external roller at the level of the clad layer. A protective outer layer is applied on the working seam.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to minimize the proportion of the weld seam relative to the base metal and the clad layer while preserving the anticorrosive properties of the clad layer.
