Further, a method for detecting an intrusion into the passenger compartment involves measuring the magnitude of the Doppler frequency shift in the passenger compartment, comparing the magnitude of the Doppler frequency shift with a predetermined threshold value and activating an alarm if the magnitude of the Doppler shift exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
