SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to auxiliary systems of vehicles, in particular to an occupant presence detection system for its identification. Vehicle includes a seat, a presence sensor, an identification device, and a configuration controller. Seat is located in the occupant compartment. Presence detector is integrated in the seat and is configured to generate a signal indicating the presence of an occupant in the vehicle when the occupant seats on the seat. Occupant identification device is located in the occupant compartment and is configured to generate a occupant identification signal. Configuration controller is configured to apply the default settings to the vehicle system before receiving the occupant identification signal, and after receiving the occupant identification signal, to apply the personalized settings corresponding to that occupant.

EFFECT: increase in comfort for occupants of vehicles is achieved.
