SUBSTANCE: disclosure of the invention relates to disposable absorbent article (1) of the pant type, such as a diaper pant, hygiene pant or urological pant. Disposable pant-type absorbent article comprises a main part having a front section and a rear section that absorbs the core, a front area configured to receive the male genital organs, a longitudinal direction (y) and a transverse direction (x), front section (3) is at least partially formed from an elastic material containing at least one elastic element. First portion of the elastic material extends at least in the central part of the absorbent article to press the front portion of the absorbent core against the user during use of the absorbent article. Second part of the elastic material is located closer to the rear side than the first part, and includes at least one elongated side elastic element extending along the lateral sides of at least part of front area (7). Absorbent article further comprises at least one elongated lateral elastic element attached essentially in the longitudinal direction on each transverse side (7a, 7b) of front area (7) to provide the effect of gathering the side into assemblies along transverse sides (7a, 7b) of front area (7), so that the absorbent core in the anterior zone is designed with the possibility, under the action of lateral elastic elements (30) and the elastic web material, to protrude outward during the use of the product to form a cup-shaped part for receiving the male genital organs. Disclosure of the invention also relates to a corresponding method for manufacturing an absorbent article.
