SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an absorbent article comprising a front panel, a back panel, an intermediate panel connecting the front and rear panels, and optionally one or more adjacency components for adapting the article to the user's body, each of which has an inner surface facing the wearer's skin, and an outer surface facing the garment object of the wearer. At least one of the panels and/or one of the adjoining components is elastically contractible and comprises an elastic non-woven material. Elastic non-woven material in the absorbent article is pre-stretched and contains a component of non-elastic polymer material and a component of elastic polymer material contained in the form of fibres. Nonwoven material is attached by separate fastening points arranged with a certain arrangement pattern, wherein the arrangement circuit comprises rows of separate attachment points passing in the machine direction and the nonwoven material transverse direction, each of the separate attachment points having a centre point, and a central point of each attachment point in a plurality of attachment points extending in the transverse direction and/or the machine direction, is displaced from central point of each fastening point in adjacent row of fastening points passing in transverse direction and/or machine direction, respectively, and separate fastening points have rounded shape.
