SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to absorbent product (1) having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction and comprising upper sheet (32), lining sheet (33) and absorbent core (17), and also in longitudinal direction, front part (3), rear part (4) and crotch portion (5) between front part (3) and rear part (4), where front part (3) and rear part (4) are defined waist edge (7, 8) and foot edge (9, 10), and crotch portion (5) defines two crotch edges (28, 29), and where first elastic member (23) extends along waist edge (7, 8), second elastic element (24) extends along foot edge (9, 10) and the third and fourth elastic elements (25, 26) extend along each of crotch edges (28, 29). Besides, said sheet (32, 33) or other sheet is bent along said waist edge (7, 8), foot edge (9, 10) and crotch edges (28, 29) so as to cover at least part of each corresponding elastic element (23, 24, 25, 26).
EFFECT: invention also relates to a method for producing absorbent article (1) as described above.
