FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processes and device for extracting ethanol from fermented biomass. Method of extracting ethanol from fermented biomass, said method comprising steps of: (a) providing fermented biomass with high content of ethanol; (b) packing said fermented biomass with high ethanol content into a vertical distillation column; (c) adding water to the bottom of said vertical distillation column; (d) heating bottom of said vertical distillation column for boiling said water to obtain steam from lower part; (e) cooling an upper portion of said vertical distillation column for condensing steam from an upper portion to obtain liquid from an upper portion with a high content of ethanol, and (f) reintroducing a fraction of said liquid from an upper portion with a high content of ethanol into an upper portion of said vertical distillation column, wherein steps c (d) to (f) are simultaneously performed.
EFFECT: high output of ethanol.
