FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of extracting prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms produced by a conglomerate in a fermentation reactor of carboxylic acids with carbon number from two to nine. Method includes selection of endogenous extracting solvent from carboxylic acids produced during anaerobic fermentation, Bringing the selected extracting solvent into contact with the fermented medium outside the fermentation reactor and without interruption of fermentation, separation of fermentation metabolites from the extractant. Selected endogenous extraction solvent has a number of carbon atoms in the molecule which is greater than or equal to the number of carbon atoms in the molecule of the extracted carboxylic acid.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain carboxylic acids in a continuous biologically compatible mode in a uniform and controlled manner with formation of a minimum amount of wastes and without inhibition of microorganisms.
