FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of processing continuous sheet material for use in making rod-shaped articles includes the following steps: providing continuous sheet material containing corrugating structure passing in longitudinal direction of continuous sheet material. It further includes a step of providing a first roll and a second roll, the first roll and the second roll comprising a plurality of circumferentially extending cams, what is more that cylinders of the first roll and circumferentially extending cams of the second roller interact with each other. Method further includes a step of guiding continuous sheet material comprising a corrugating structure between circumferentially-extending cams of first roll and second roll. Thus, continuous sheet material containing corrugating structure is provided with wavy structure, wavy structure passes in longitudinal direction of continuous sheet material and covers corrugating structure.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of processing continuous sheet material for use in making rod-shaped articles.
