FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the pressure treatment of molybdenum, and can be used in the manufacture of aircraft products, heat exchangers, heat shields. Method of processing blanks of cold molybdenum includes forming plastic deformation by drawing, at that before drawing, the billet of cold molybdenum is subjected to simultaneous exposure to air flow and acoustic field of the sound frequency range with a sound pressure level in the range of 140–160 dB for 10–20 minutes.
EFFECT: duration of the machining process is reduced while ensuring the required mechanical properties in the initial billet and the absence of defects in the finished product.
