FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: blasting cap of explosive relates to initiating means and is intended for initiation of charges of industrial explosives in dry and flooded conditions, in aggressive media, under action of high operating temperatures and hydrostatic pressure on underground, open mining works and in construction. Blasting cap for initiation of explosive contains a section of shock-wave tube (SWT) of non-electric initiation system. Blasting cap case is made from thermoplastic material in form of hollow thin-walled cylinder closed on one side. On outer side of SWT in zone of crimping ring-shaped corrugation is applied in form of repeating protrusions and recesses having different shape in cross section. Outer diameter of corrugation ledges exceeds SWT outer diameter by 9.5–12.5 %. Connection point and sealing of point of connection of blasting cap and SWT is performed through an elastic seal, for example, a rubber or a ultrathene bushing, by means of crimping of the blasting cap body through a crimping sleeve made of a non-sparking metal in the form of a hollow cylinder.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of safety of handling, reliability of actuation, expansion of its application area, simplification of design, improvement of manufacturability and cost reduction of its manufacturing.
