FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials and methods for production thereof and can be used in automotive industry, shipbuilding, aerospace engineering and other industries. Composite material consists of polymer material and basalt fibre, which contains sputtering from metal oxide. Invention also relates to a method of producing composite material, comprising mixing polymer material with basalt fibre, on which prior to mixing, metal oxide is sputtered, wherein metal oxide sputtering is performed by gas-thermal method at gas flow temperature from 60 to 500 % of melting temperature of sputtered metal.
EFFECT: technical result is improved strength properties of composite material.
