ENCODED STATUS INDICATOR FOR AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61N1/39

Abstract RU 2685739 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: automatic external defibrillator (AED) comprises self-test (11) circuit, encoding device (13) and an encoded status indicator. Self-test circuit is configured for automatic and periodic testing AED (10), as well as with possibility to generate main state signal (110), displaying availability AED, and test state signal (120) displaying the self-test information AED. Said encoder is functionally connected to the self-test circuit and is configured to combine the base status signal and the test status signal into a single encoded status signal. Further, an encoded status indicator is associated with the encoder and is configured to visually display the single encoded status signal. It is possible for a person to perceive a part of the displayed single encoded status signal representing a main state signal, and also a part of the displayed single encoded status signal representing the test status signal is machine readable, while it can not be perceived by a person. Display for readiness state display AED comprises first and second data input devices, corresponding respectively to states of operational readiness and self-test AED, encoding device (13) configured to generate a single encoded status signal based on the first and second data input devices, as well as a display for visual display of an encoded status signal, having a blinking light modulated in the form of a pattern and displaying a state of operational readiness and a state of self-test AED. Also a part of the pattern that displays the self-test status is displayed with a higher frequency than the frequency perceived by the observer. System for recording visual indication of test state signal AED comprises AED with self-test circuit, to which coded status indicator is connected for simultaneous display of visual indication of main state signal and test state signal, and operator device (30) comprising optical detector (31) for detecting a visual indication of the test status signal.

EFFECT: provides for AED without increase in power consumption and without reduction of service life of its accumulator battery.
