FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used for production of highly porous abrasive tool. Mass includes abrasive grains from white electrocorundum, a pore-forming agent, a ceramic binder and an adhesive additive. Pore-forming filler used is coarse-grained sugar, and the adhesive additive is a liquid silicate produced by mixing with water and having low density. Mass also contains temporary binder in the form of maize dry dextrin. Mixing of said components is carried out by loading them into a mixing machine in three stages with stage-by-stage mixing for 4–5 minutes. At the first stage, abrasive grain and pore-forming agent are loaded, at the second stage – preliminary prepared liquid silicate, and at the third stage – ceramic binder and dextrin.
EFFECT: increased strength of raw material and resistance to volumetric deformation and reduced time of technological process.
