SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication method carried out by a radio network node configured to operate within a system bandwidth comprising a plurality of subbands, and servicing user equipment limited by operation within only one subband during any given subframe. Method comprises steps of: generating configuration information indicating a location within a system bandwidth, one subband, within which user equipment is to operate during a subframe for receiving data on a downlink; and configuring user equipment for operation within said one subband during said subframe to receive downlink data by transmitting configuration information to user equipment.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of user equipment complexity.
