FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of motor roads, railway tracks and is intended for determination of soil volumes, in development of excavation, or device of embankment on circular, transient curves of route, at mountainous relief, at design stage, as well as in production process (at acceptance and delivery of made volume). Essence of invention consists in that method of calculating soil volume during construction of roads, railway tracks on circular and transitional curves of route using cross sections using chopped distances (CS-CD) involves breaking the axis on circular and transient curves of the route at intervals with points - pickets, construction in points of pickets cross sections perpendicular to the axis of the route, determining the areas of the obtained cross sections, calculating the average cross-section between adjacent sections, constructing a vertical line in each cross-section, breaking the latter into two equal cross-sectional areas, measuring distance from a given vertical line to an axis of the route, determining the average distance between two adjacent sections, calculating the chopped distance between the sections graphically or analytically and calculating the volume of the ground between the sections, and then adding them.

EFFECT: technical problem solved by the calculation method using cross sections and chopped distances (abbreviated as CS-CD) is related to determination of the ground volume with high accuracy or excavation at construction of motor roads, railway tracks on curved sections of routes and at mountain relief, at that excluding all the above disadvantages.
