FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of motor roads, railway tracks and is intended for determination of soil volumes during development of excavation or embankment device, on linear objects, at mountainous or uneven relief, at design stage, as well as in production process at acceptance and delivery of the executed volume. Method of determining volume of soil on linear objects using chopped-compensated distances involves breaking the axis on the circular and transient curves of the route at intervals with picket points, constructing at points pickets cross sections perpendicular to the axis of the route, determining areas of obtained cross sections, calculating the average cross-section between adjacent sections, calculating the volume of soil between sections, and then adding them. To calculate the volume of soil between sections when closing the volume of works at the design stage, calculating the cut-compensated distance is performed between them, for which the volume of soil is calculated between sections by the method of composite volumes, preliminary survey of terrain situation, coordinates of points of which create surface and, having developed the route design, calculating the compensated distance between sections by means of which the ground volumes between sections are calculated are calculated from calculated composite volumes and certain areas of sections.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of determining with high accuracy bulk of fill or excavation in construction of roads, railway tracks on linear objects with mountain or uneven relief, providing simplification of labour intensity of calculation.
