FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to production of steel by melting in steelmaking units, mainly in arc electric furnaces. Method involves smelting of metal in steelmaking unit, release of non-deoxidized metal into steel teeming ladle during time T1 at temperature ti, for example, using a bay steel outlet channel, out-of-furnace treatment by means of installation of ladle-furnace, metal blowing with argon for time T2 and subsequent pouring of metal from said plant. Release of metal into teeming ladle is carried out at temperature of non-deoxidised metal ti less than 1650 °C, preferably in range from 1610 to 1645 °C, for a time T1 in range of 2 to 4 minutes, and argon metal is bled during time T2 less than 50 minutes, mainly in range of 35 to 48 minutes.
EFFECT: invention reduces duration and power consumption of steel production, thereby reducing the cost of the end product without deterioration of its quality, wherein production products are used for production of pipes of general purpose, casing pipes for oil and gas sector and main pipelines.
