FIELD: calculating; counting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Method of post-processing of recovered image includes: determination of boundary strength for each edge of 4 samples, which is the prediction edge or conversion edge and lies on grid of 8 x 8 samples; determining whether to apply an unlocking filtering on edge of 4 samples or not, using the boundary strength and the boundary quantisation parameter; edge filtering of 4 samples, if unblocking filtration is applied on edge of 4 samples, and application of edge offset, if type of sample adaptive offset (SAO) indicates edge offset, wherein the step of applying the edge offset includes the following sub-steps: generating the edge index of the current sample and generating the edge offset corresponding to the edge index of the current sample, wherein edge of 4 samples is filtered using a filter which is selected from a strong filter and a weak filter.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of difference between initial samples and reconstructed samples.
