SUBSTANCE: invention is used for calibration used, in particular, in digital breast tomography reconstruction (hereinafter – DBT) with a limited angle. A set of exposed projection X-ray images is obtained; an initial assessment of projection geometry corresponding to each of exposed projection X-ray images is formed; intermediate DBT reconstruction is calculated; a set of parameters of hard conversion is established, applied to the initial assessment of projection geometry for each exposed projection X-ray image and corresponding to a calibration result; and final DBT reconstruction is calculated using the set of exposed projection X-ray images and the final calibrated assessment of projection geometry.
EFFECT: provision of a possibility of increasing the quality of the resulting image.
