NAVIGATION BY OPTICAL FIBER SENSOR FOR VISUALIZATION AND MONITORING OF VESSELS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/06

Abstract RU 2686954 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to shape recognition optical fibers in medical applications. Branched lumen imaging method comprises steps of introducing a fiber-optic pattern recognition device into the lumen, flow rate data are collected in the lumen, changes in the lumen caused by the branches detected by deformation are determined, the position of the branches is indicated and the instrument is directed to the position of the branches. At the second stage, the lumen position and position of the branches from the lumen are determined, a lumen portion is displayed to provide a real-time image, aligning the image in real time with the lumen position and generating an overlapping image. System for monitoring a blood vessel comprises a processor, memory, a processor connected to a recognition and interpretation module stored in memory and configured to interpret data of fiber-optic pattern recognition from a fiber-optic shape recognition device, an image generation module and a display configured to render the image overlaid on top of the representation of the blood vessel.

EFFECT: using the group of inventions widens the range of products for identifying lumen branches in blood vessels.
