FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to robotic control of endoscope. Disclosed is a system, as well as an endoscope control unit comprising: a robotic unit, comprising an endoscope configured to generate an endoscope image, and a robot configured to move the endoscope within the anatomical region; and a control unit including an endoscope controller configured to determine an endoscope location within the anatomical region for the intraoperative imaging of the anatomical feature within the endoscope image, wherein location of endoscope is derived from outline position of volume coordinates of anatomical feature within preoperative image of anatomical region, and a robot controller configured to command the robot to move the endoscope to the endoscope within the anatomical region to visualize an anatomical feature within the endoscope image.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides an intraoperative visualization of an anatomical feature within an endoscope image of the anatomical region.
