IMPROVED IMAGING OF BLOOD VESSELS USING A ROBOT-CONTROLLED ENDOSCOPE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B1/04 A61B1/05

Abstract RU 2689767 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to medical instruments, and can be used for visualization of target anatomical object. Disclosed is a system comprising: an endoscope for forming images of internal organs, having a field of view less than the region to be displayed; a planning module configured to receive video from the endoscope such that the endoscope viewing area images are stitched together to form a composite image of the region to be displayed; and an image guidance module configured to move the endoscope along the target anatomical object during the procedure such that the image formed in the endoscope viewing area is displayed as a real-time video overlaid on the corresponding portion of the composite image. Also disclosed is a system for visualizing a target anatomical object, comprising: a processor and memory connected to a processor, wherein the memory includes: a planning module configured to sew together images of the viewing area of the target anatomical object, obtained from the endoscope, to create a composite image of the target anatomical object, and an image guidance module configured to move the endoscope along the target anatomical object using the composite image such that the image formed in the viewing area of the surveillance device is displayed as real-time video overlaid on the corresponding portion of the composite image.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved visualization of anatomy of internal organs for medical purposes.
