FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition of a hot-melt adhesive, as well as to a method for its application on a substrate and use in interweaving books, gluing wood, flat laminating, packing into elastic materials, etc. Composition contains two non-reactive thermoplastic polyurethane copolymers (A) and (B). Thermoplastic polyurethane copolymer (A) contains a reaction product between at least one ester-based polyester polyol and at least one polyisocyanate and has a number average molecular weight (Mn) of at least 25,000 g/mol. Thermoplastic polyurethane copolymer (B) contains a reaction product between at least one ester-based polyether polyol and at least one polyisocyanate and has a number average molecular weight (Mn) less than 25,000 g/mol. At least one ester-based polyether polyol for thermoplastic polyurethane copolymer (A) and/or (B) comprises a) at least one semi-crystalline polyester polyol, characterized by a melting point in range of 40 to 150 °C, and b) at least one non-crystalline ester-based polyether polyol. Melt viscosity of the composition of the hot-melt adhesive ranges from 1,000 to 100,000 mPa⋅sec at 160 °C.
EFFECT: obtained composition of hot-melt adhesive has low viscosity when applied in combination with high level of adhesion and / or cohesion, and can also be used in standard process equipment without the need for high amount of heat and high shear, used for processing conventional thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives.
