FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for equipping tokamak type thermonuclear reactors. Limiter comprises tank 1 filled with lithium 2 and having thermal contact with ohmic or microwave heaters 3, ring 4 fixed by rotating supports 5 fixed on tokamak housing, inner surface of ring 4 is lined with porous material 6, wetted by melted lithium, and lower part of ring 4 is immersed in lithium in tank 1, through gear engagement 7 ring 4 is rotated by motor 8, tank 1 has inlet and outlet pipelines 9 and 10 for molten lithium. Porous material 6 on inner surface of ring 4, impregnated with melted lithium, forms a lithium reflector, which returns thermal radiation to plasma 11 located in focus of reflector. Prior to the beginning of the working cycle of the reactor, heaters 3 are activated, which perform heating of lithium 2 in tank 1 to its melting point. At full melting of lithium 2 in tank 1 by means of electric motor 8 ring 4 is rotated and molten lithium in liquid state is sucked from tank 1 into porous material 6, which is coated with inner surface of ring 4.
EFFECT: high stability of the plasma cord while reducing losses from radiation and high purity of the gas composition of the plasma.
