FIELD: thermonuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: limiter is manufactured in the form of caved-in trough closed over toroidal by-pass of reactor limiting plasma from beneath. Space of through is filled with low-melting material-filler. Through has cooling channels and heaters arranged above them. Layer of material-filler is put between plasma and cooling channels. Material having melting point within 180-670 C is chosen as filler. Under operational condition material filler contacting plasma is in solid state. If profile of receiving surface is disturbed due to redistribution of material-filler because of excessive spraying content of through is heated with the aid of heaters to melting point of material-filler and receiving surface smooths down under action of gravity force and head of molten material-filler which comes into through over channels-supports from beneath. After switching off of heaters material-filler solidifies. Capability of periodic restoration of receiving surface of limiter provides for prolonged service life for the course of complete service life of reactor.
