SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Humidifier configured to moisten the aerosol comprises a first water compartment containing water used to humidify the aerosol, a second water compartment containing water used to humidify the aerosol and an intermediate chamber between the first and second water compartments. Intermediate chamber comprises an aerosol inlet and an aerosol outlet and forms the first limiting surface of the channel through which the aerosol to be moistened passes. First layer is permeable for water vapor which is impermeable for liquid water and is located between the first water compartment and the intermediate chamber. Part of the first layer forms the second limiting surface of the channel. Second layer is permeable for water vapor which is impermeable for liquid water and is located between the second water compartment and the intermediate chamber. Part of the second layer forms the third limiting surface of the channel opposite to the second limiting surface. Intermediate chamber comprises at least two projections, each protruding from side surface of intermediate chamber inside it. At least two ledges are part of the first limiting surfaces and protrude inside the intermediate chamber so that the channel has a twisted structure inside the intermediate chamber between these at least two projections.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing effective aerosol moistening.
