DEVICE FOR CONSTANT AMOUNT OF AEROSOL SUPPLY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61M11/06

Abstract RU 2688703 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Device for supplying an aerosol obtained from an aerosolisable material, comprises an aerosolisation unit, through which gas carrier pressure pulses pass, reservoir containing material capable of aerosolisation and connected to aerosolisation unit with possibility of supplying to it of material capable of aerosolisation entrained with carrier gas, material feed valve, which is a "duck-nose" type valve, located between the reservoir and the aerosolisation unit and configured to: open towards the aerosolisation unit, opening or closing at occurrence of pressure drop between reservoir and aerosolisation and supply unit, in open position, capable of aerosolising material into aerosolisation unit. Control module comprises a force application element which is capable of providing a mechanical force applied to the material feed valve, and influence by application of mechanical force on amount of material capable of aerosolisation, supplied to aerosolisation unit, by means of adjustment of opening degree of material supply valve. Actuator is configured to generate and adjust mechanical force applied to material feed valve. Force application member is rigidly connected to "duck-nose" type valve. Actuator is rigidly connected to force application element so as to apply traction force to "duck nose" type valve with its forced opening and apply a compressive force in the direction opposite to the traction force direction, whereby the preload is applied to the "duck-nose" type valve to control the degree of its opening when it is opened by the pressure pulse. Disclosed is a system for controlling a "duck-nose" type valve in an aerosol delivery device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing constant quantity of aerosolised material supply.
