FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrotechnical processes of modifying dielectric materials and can be used in production of sealing elements of pipeline and shut-off valves in power and transport machine building, to sealing characteristics and durability of which there are high requirements. According to this method, products are supplied to working zone, in which microwave electromagnetic field is generated, processed by microwave electromagnetic field of article and removal of processed article from working zone, field is generated by means of emitters in the form of horn antennas, and degree of its effect is regulated. At that, in addition, receiving antenna connected to ballast load is used, processed item is placed between radiating and receiving antennae, during primary processing of new rubber seals as the final process operation, specific radiation power is set equal to 1.5 W/cm3 and holding seal at given power for 1.5–1.6 minutes. Radiation pattern of the emitting antenna is formed such that the absorbed power in all sections of the circular article is uniform.
EFFECT: increased elasticity of rubber technical articles leading to improvement of sealing properties and increase of their service life.
