SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medical devices, namely to a method and device for determining elasticity. Method for determining elasticity of biological tissue comprises step 1, comprising maintaining excitation device and ultrasonic transducer in contact with tissue surface control device excitation for periodic excitation of N transverse waves having one or M frequencies, in the tissue for a predetermined time interval and controlling the ultrasonic transducer for transmitting the ultrasonic wave to the tissue at the same or different angles and / or frequencies, wherein the number N is an integer greater than 1, and 2 ≤ M ≤ N; step 2, comprising the ultrasonic transducer obtaining an ultrasonic echo signal corresponding to each transverse wave; step 3, comprising obtaining a characteristic propagation parameter of each transverse wave in accordance with an ultrasonic echo signal; step 4, including calculating tissue elasticity parameter in accordance with characteristic parameters N of transverse waves and tissue density. Device comprises a control computer, an excitation device and an ultrasonic transducer, wherein the control computer includes a control module, a receiving module, a receiving module and a design module.
