FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and fodder production, in particular to a method of producing biomass for production of a fodder additive, involving growing larvae of double-winged insect Hermetia illucens on a nutrient substrate. Nutritive substrate used is a mixture of solid fractions of waste water of meat-packing plants with dry bran of cereal grains in the range of weight proportions from 2:1 to 5:1 with moisture content of 65–75 %. Cultivation of larvas is carried out for 10–15 days with density of larval landing on nutrient substrate 2–5 individuals per 1 cm2.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables to obtain a biomass rich in proteins and lipids.
