FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in determining degree of individual resistance of divers to toxic action of nitrogen. For this purpose individual diver resistance to nitrogen toxic effect is determined. That is followed by a correction test with Landolt rings under normal pressure under the guidance of a medical officer for 2 minutes. Obtained data are used to calculate the processing speed of the information in the visual analyzer using the original design formula. Arithmetic test "Addition in mind" is carried out with the subsequent estimation of efficiency of performance of arithmetic test by quantity of the written sums and number of the admitted errors and speed of performance of computational actions by an original settlement formula is calculated. Then, the divers are placed in a pressure chamber and air pressure is increased to depth of 70 meters of water column, 8 ata. Psychophysiological examination of the test subjects is carried out according to the above methods with the time of "exposure on soil" for not more than 20 minutes. Method then includes calculating gradient Δ of variation of said values. General characteristic of body resistance to toxic action of nitrogen in hyperbaric conditions (RTAN) is determined by original calculation formula. If the total score is 7 or less, this indicates a low level of stability. Range from 8 to 15 points indicates average level of stability. At 16 and more points – on high level of stability.

EFFECT: method enables to determine degree of individual resistance of divers to toxic action of nitrogen without determining clinical data requiring medical equipment.
