FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of wear-resistant coatings on metals with the help of energy of explosive substances, for example, in production of friction pairs in the form of braking devices. A symmetrical stack containing two identical clad plates from copper and a cladded plate from aluminum with the specified ratio of thicknesses is made. Pack burst welding is carried out at preset detonation speeds of explosive charge and cladding of clad plates. Thermal treatment of the welded billet is carried out to produce a solid high-hardness intermetallic diffusion layer between layers of aluminum alloy and copper. Produced billet is cooled in water solution of table salt with spontaneous separation of layers from aluminum alloy and copper along diffusion intermetallic interlayer and formation of high-hard wear-resistant coatings consisting of intermetallides of aluminum-copper system.
EFFECT: method provides simultaneous production of high-strength wear-resistant intermetallic coatings on two copper plates and on an aluminum plate on its two sides.
