SUBSTANCE: invention relates to window controllers and associated with them prognostic control logic for implementing methods of controlling tint and other functions of tinted windows. Controller for controlling tinting of one or more tinted room windows comprises a processor configured to determine the intersection of a three-dimensional projection of daylight through one or more tinted window with the plane of interest; determining overlapping of intersection area with used section, wherein used section is section in room; using a certain overlapping to determine level of tinting of one or more tinted window; and issuing commands for converting the rendering of one or more tinted windows to a certain level of tinting.
EFFECT: invention provides more accurate lighting control while reducing power consumption.
