FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spectral analysis and a method of determining components of a fluid non-uniform milk sample. Method involves obtaining a milk sample, measuring the milk sample attenuation values in the middle infrared range by the interferometer and calculating the indicator of the component of interest in the milk sample in the data processing unit based on measured attenuation values in the middle infrared range. Method involves simultaneous interaction of radiation in the middle infrared range with a fluid sample of milk in the measurement region and subsequent measurement of attenuation values for one or more wave ranges. Measurement stage includes performing a number of measurements of attenuation values for the same range or for several wave bands. Milk sample flows at a flow rate selected to ensure replacement of at least a portion of the milk sample in the measurement region for each of the measurements.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the measurements accuracy.
