FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method of bending glass plates. Device comprises at least one form (1) for bending under action of gravity with support surface (2), designed to accommodate at least one glass plate (I); one upper shaping tool (3) installed opposite to support surface (2), which is intended for creation of excess pressure on surface (O) of at least one glass plate (I), which faces from support surface (2). Shaping tool (3) has cap (8) forming hollow space open in direction of form (1) for bending under action of gravity, and is equipped with means of gas supply to hollow space to create excess pressure. Hollow space by means of at least one partition (12) is divided into at least two subspaces (5.1, 5.2), so that at least in two areas of surface (O) different pressure can be created.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the bending process.
