FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. In the light-emitting system and in the method, spatially distributed isolated sets of light-emitting elements are used, which are independently controlled by randomized control signals for imitation of the candle flame by formation of light effects varying in space and in time. Besides, disconnected sets can be controlled so that, in fact, total light intensity is maintained. Additionally, the system and method can use the transition probability model to adjust the light-emitting elements in such a way that accurately simulates the plug flame.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of light-emitting device, which provides more accurate effect of jamming of candle with preservation of level of common light flux for main lighting purposes.
